Royal Nickler, III of Galion passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 22, 2017.

He was born October 16, 1952 in Crestline and was the son of Royal Jr. and Evelyn (Blaising) Nickler who survive in Galion.

Royal graduated from Galion High School in 1971 and was a machinist working for Sautter Brothers in Galion, Carter Machine Shop in Galion, Rockwell in Columbus, Rolls Royce in Mt. Vernon and retiring from Siemens Energy in Mt. Vernon. He enjoyed technology and electronics.

In addition to his parents, Royal is survived by sisters Susan (Bob) Nelson of Galion and Sandi Nickler and fiancee’ John Gaulrapp of Cave Creek, Arizona; brother Randy (Cathy) Nickler of Galion; nieces Laura (Kevin Garver) Gosser of Shelby and Aikkiko Nicole Nickler of Naples, Italy; nephew Keith (Heidi) Nickler of Bellville; four grand-nephews and a grand-niece.

Private services for the family will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to James Cancer Hospital in care of the funeral home.
