Rosie Marie Cline
November 24, 1931 ‒ December 18, 2006
Rosie Marie Cline, age 75, of Marengo, died on Monday afternoon, December 18, 2006, at her daughter’s residence in Cardington surrounded by her family.
She was born in Baisden, West Virginia, on November 24, 1931, the daughter of the late Albert Wiley and Atheline (Cline) Grubb.
On January 13, 1951, Rosie married her loving husband of over 45 years, Rodney “Earl” Cline, in West Virginia. Together they resided in Columbus until 1977, when they decided to move to Marengo.
A family oriented woman, Rosie took care of the home and her children. She also owned and operated Little Rosie’s Pizza in Centerburg.
Rosie was a member of the Cardington Church of God, and a former member of the Day Star Christian Center in Galion.
Her family, who were always Rosie’s priority, will dearly miss Rosie and her “feisty” streak. She will be remembered for her cooking, most especially for her famous chicken n’ dumplings, and for her one acre vegetable garden where she grew any vegetable you could think of.
Rosie will be missed by her son Mickey (Connie) Cline of Cardington; daughter Saundra (Douglas) Kuhlen of Cardington; three grandchildren Christina (Kevin) Smith of Westerville, David (Jeannie) Kuhlen of Marion, and Madison of Cardington; one great-granddaughter Kiersten Grace Smith; two brothers Albert (Mary) Grubb of Varney, West Virginia, and Harry (Karen) Grubb of Wapokoneta; a sister Elma Jean Nason of Minot, North Dakota; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends at the Duke Truck Stop on 95 and Nancy Rogers.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Judd Grubb; and sister Mary Hall.
The family will greet friends on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 South Main Street, Mount Gilead, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Okie Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery in Sparta.
