Rosemary Martin Brobst

Rosemary Martin Brobst, age 77, of Delaware went home to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, July 29, 2003 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Verlia and Mary (Graham) Cunningham. She graduated from Central High School Class of 1945, where she was class president. She had worked at the Hilliard Dairy Queen, and as a clerk for the Franklin County Recorder’s Office until retiring in 1987.

She was a member of the Rural Chapel United Methodist Church and the Birdie Lackey Circle, winning the “Outstanding Woman of the Year.” She enjoyed the game of Spinners, cooking, collecting dolls, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special friends. She will be remembered for her humor, beautiful looks, and her kind heart.

Survived by her husband; Earl William “Bill” Brobst of Delaware, her children; Gerre (Brooke) Martin of Delaware, Connie (Richard) Grube of Chula Vista, CA, Ralph (Denise) Martin of Canal Winchester, Allen (Linda) Martin of Roscoe, IL, Mark (Kim) Martin of Hilliard, and Brian (Debbie) Martin of Fishers, IN; two brothers Jerry Cunningham, and Tom (Norma) Cunningham; a sister Janet (Edward) Schwab, grandchildren Erica Lang, Torry and Nathan Grube, Tanya Schwade, Amanda Robinson, Terre, Sean, Chad, Amanda, Jamie, Jeni, Gerrad, Lindsay, Paige, Tyler, and Elizabeth Martin; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, step-children; Sam (Gennie) Brobst, Jan (Jan) Rozanski, Billie Wallace, and Sally Wagner.

She was preceded in death by her former husbands Leo F. Martin and Ralph Burrus, and by a grandson Jordan Keith Martin.

Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Rural Chapel United Methodist Church, Galena with Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Gardens, Reynoldsburg.
