Rosemary Ann Brickner, age 95, of Columbus and formerly of Delaware died Tuesday afternoon, April 6, 2004 at the Inn at Lakeview in Groveport.

She was born in Ironton, Ohio on November 28, 1908 to the late Samuel and Amelia (Reidle) Layne. Rosemary moved to Delaware in 1950 from the Ironton area, was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening. She had worked as a secretary for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and then for local attorneys; Ed Flahive and Henry Wolf and retired in 1972 as a clerk for the Delaware County Municipal Court.

She is survived by her daughters; Elaine Hawkins of Columbus, and Phillipa Armstrong of Vero Beach, FL, and a son; Patrick McBride of Melborne, KY, 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 Grandchildren.

Services will be held privately for the family at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware.
