MANSFIELD~ Rosemarie Margaret Mion, age 72, of Heidi Lane, Mansfield, passed away Monday morning December 8, 2008 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, following a short illness.

She was born August 7, 1936 in Wayne County, Michigan to Emil and Mary (Sieniawski) Wery, was graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Cleveland, and lived all of her adult life in Mansfield.

Many area residents will remember Rosemarie as an assistant vice president for Richland Bank, where she served as manager of the Marion Avenue bank branch. She retired from the bank in 1999 with 30 years of service.

She was a member of Resurrection Parish, and was past president of the Catholic Women’s Club. She was also a member of Mansfield Leiderkranz and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Lynda & Ric Walter of Punta Gorda, FL, Janis & Jim Suits of Raleigh, NC, daughters Karen Mion of Knoxville, TN, and Laura Lindsay of Mansfield; her son Leonard Mion, Jr. of Mansfield; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law Ron & Alice Wery of North Royalton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Leonard A. Mion, Sr. on July 31, 2002; and a grandson.

The Mion Family will receive friends Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue (Former Finefrock Funeral Home), where a Christian prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Tony Borgia. Private interment will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of memorial flowers, those considering a contribution are asked to consider the Monsignor Dunn Foundation of St. Peter’s Parish, and may be made at the funeral home.
