Rosella “Granny” Mottayaw

Rosella M. Mottayaw, 99, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her daughter’s home with her Hospice Care.

She was born March 18, 1914 in Sardis, the daughter of Herman and Alma (Winkler) Luikart. Rosella married William O. Mottayaw who passed away 57 years ago.

She loved Phoenix, AZ and its weather. She worked at AMF Bowling Mfg. in Shelby and Motorola in Phoenix. After retiring she enjoyed her time doing crafts and taking visits back to Ohio in the summer months.

She is survived by two daughters Bonnie (Paul) Hammond and Joyce Alt; one son William (Janet) Mottayaw; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; three brothers Homer, Wallace (Nancy), and Melvin (Peggy) Luikart; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rosella was preceded in death by siblings Twila Luikart, Verna Cervinski, and Arthur Luikart.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Snyder Funeral Home, 350 Marion Avenue, Mansfield where funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 21. Pastor Paul Lintern will officiate and burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery in Mansfield.
