BELLVILLE:  Rosalie Ellen (Hoeflich) Marker, 84 of Bellville passed away May 7, 2018 in her home following a long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia.

A lifelong area resident, she was born September 21, 1933 in Bellville, the daughter of the late Avery “Jacob” and Harriet (Snavely) Hoeflich.  On June 30, 1951 she married Kenneth “Joe” Marker and together raised their family of seven children.

Rosalie worked at Therm-O-Disc for 18 years, but first and foremost, she was loving mother to her family.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bellville.  Rose enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching John Wayne movies, coloring, drawing, and working in her flowerbeds.

A dedicated wife, mom and loving grandma, she is survived by her husband Kenneth “Joe” Marker of Bellville, children Bonnie Simones  of Mansfield, Patricia Berry of Bellville, Becky McCauley of Mansfield, Cheryl Marker of Bellville, Jane Lawson of Fredericktown, Tim Marker of Mansfield and Jim Marker of Fredericktown; 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; and 3 brothers Chuck, Jerry, and Gary Hoeflich.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Lawrence, Jim, Tom, and Linda.

Friends may call Friday, May 11, 2018 from 12-2 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow at 2 pm.  Pastor Doug Pretorius will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to Snyder Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
