MANSFIELD: Ronald Zimmerman passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 in OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. He was 75.

Ron was born November 24, 1941 in Hicksville to parents Russell & Maxine Zimmerman. After graduating Madison High School with the class of 1959, he proudly served his country by joining the National Guard Reserve.

Ron worked for Hartman Electrical Manufacturing in Mansfield as an inventory control specialist for over 25 years until his retirement in 2004. He previously worked for Fastener House in Columbus more than 15 years.

A true sports fan, Ron loved cheering for all Ohio teams but especially the Browns, Cavs, and Indians. He also enjoyed cheering for his son at drag races and bowling competitions.

He is survived by his mother Maxine Zimmerman of Mansfield; son & daughter-in-law Troy & Lisa Jarrett of Ashland; and brother & sister-in-law Gary & Wendy Zimmerman of Mansfield; along with two nieces Kim Zimmerman & Linnea Zimmerman. Ron was preceded in death by his father Russell.

Although no public services will be held, his family hopes you will hold Ron in your heart as you remember him in your own special way. Private burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park.
