Ronald K. Tutorow, age 68, of Sunbury, passed away after a brief illness Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 20. 1945, in Columbus, to the late Frederick and Edythe (Haight) Tutorow.

A 1964 graduate of Big Walnut High School, Ron served his county in the US Marine Corps Reserves. He married the love of his life, Marilyn L. Moore in 1965 and went on to attend Franklin University. He often attended Sunbury United Methodist Church with his wife.

Ron was a member of American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and worked for Clark Grave Vaults and Showa. As a PADI certified scuba dive, Ron stared diving locally at White Sulfur Springs and went on to dive in Hawaii, Bahamas and Cozumel. He coached his boys through little league football and as a Big Walnut freshman football coach.

A collector of many things, Ron was known for his collection of outdoor inflatables, which he proudly displayed during each holiday. Always eager to please the kids with his displays, Ron recently asked from his hospital bed if they enjoyed his Halloween decorations.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Michael (Lisa) Tutorow and Jeffrey (Kelly) Tutorow, Sr., all of Sunbury; brother, Donald (Donna Laughlin) Tutorow of Mt. Vernon; sister, Cathy Helcher of Columbus; grandchildren: Trevor, Jessica, Ryan, Jeffrey, II; great granddaughter, Reiss, aka Squeeky, as well as 4 nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Friends may call 11-2 Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike Mack presiding. Interment will follow at Trenton Cemetery.
