Ronald E. ” Ron” Yoder

Ronald E. “Ron” Yoder, age 71 of Sunbury, died Monday January 31, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on November 7, 1939 in Bellefontaine to the late Harold Wayne Yoder and Dorothy Elizabeth (Baker) Fultz. A US Army Veteran and a retired sales representative. Member and elder of the First Baptist Church of Sunbury. An avid golfer and especially proud of his yard, flower beds and roses. He enjoyed The Ohio State University sports program and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ron was very proud of his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron could be obstinate at time as well as compassionate and lovable and he enjoyed a good friendly argument.
Survived by daughter: Barbara (John Walker) Loman of Dayton, grandchildren: Angela (Jeff) Calvert of Orgeonia and their son Brandon, Joshua (Heather) Loman of Orlando, FL. and their son A. J.; sister: Sue Potts of Sunbury; brothers: Kenneth (Joy) Yoder of Dundee, Fred (Phyllis) Yoder of Bellefontaine; half-sister: Debra (Steve) Miranda of Storkville, MS.; half-brothers: Jim (Kay) Yoder of Lexigton, KY, Tom (Barbara) Fultz of Blufton, SC, Jeff (Denise)Fultz of Milford Center; also grew up with step-sisters; Marcella, Jackie, Bonnie Lovly in Moorehead, KY.
Preceded in death by infant daughter: Kathy Sue Yoder, step-brothers: Darrell and Larry Lovly.
Friends may call Monday from 10-12 Noon at the First Baptist Church, 12250 N. Old 3C Highway, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 with the service to follow at 12 with Pastor Dan Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunbury Memorial Park.
