Ronald Dean Gardner, 46, of Marengo, formerly of Delaware, died unexpectedly Thursday January 18, 2007 at his home. He was born August 25, 1960 in Delaware to Robert L. Gardner and the late Minerva M. (nee Weaver) Gardner. He worked for Tradesmen International for many years and later became self-employed. He had a great love of music, great respect for native American culture, and enjoyed helping people in any way. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 22 years, Beverly Hickman; his father of Delaware; 4 sisters, Sharen (Robert) Dutcher of Delaware, Charlene (Randy) Harris of Cincinnati, Charlotte (Dave) Cooper of Marengo, and Judy Hunt of Delaware; brother, Robert (Tammy) Gardner of Delaware; stepchildren, Angie Derick of Illinois, Jeffery (Virginia) Hickman of Westfield, and Brianna Hickman of Mt. Vernon; 9 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his mother, brother Richard, daughter Erica Lynn Gardner, and a stepson Bill Tuhey. The family will receive friends today (Monday) January 22nd from
6 – 9 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Chapel, 1510 W. William St., Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 23rd at 11:00 am.
