Roland C. Bahr

Roland Bahr, age 90, passed away on Tuesday evening May 28, 2013 at Parkside Village in Westerville, Ohio.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 7, 1922 and graduated from North Division High School in Milwaukee. A member of the Greatest Generation, he enlisted in the US Army and was a decorated veteran of World War II, serving his country in the Pacific theater. He married Florence Dorthy Minarovic in 1946 and they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2012.
Roland retired from the Milwaukee police department after a 30 year career where he attained the position of homicide detective. He subsequently had a 10 year career in management with the Wisconsin Gas Company. “Rolly” was an avid golfer, bike rider and loved nature & the outdoors.
He is survived by his beloved wife and twin brother, Gilbert, three sons and their spouses, Jeff & Karen, Jerry & Lori and Bill & Barb, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
