Roger Pfleiderer, 56, of Galion passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 after a short illness at Avita Galion Hospital.

He was born on April 9, 1965 in Morrow County and was the son of the late Robert L. and Dorothy M. (Davis) Pfleiderer. Roger is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kim (Haburn) Pfleiderer whom he married on June 23, 1995.

He graduated from Northmor High School in 1983 and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Roger retired after 30 years at Timken in Bucyrus and had worked for the past three years at General Electric in Bucyrus.

Roger always loved being on his farm and going up to Lake Erie, especially the Marblehead Lighthouse. Known as “Pop Pop” by his grandchildren, he enjoyed playing video games with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Diana (Johnny) Casteel of Bucyrus, Jessica (Jeremy) Hockenberry of Mansfield, Nicole Palmer of Mansfield and Rebecca Pfleiderer of Galion; son Wyatt Pfleiderer of Galion; six grandchildren, Corbin, Lexie, Sophia, Emmett, Adora and Journee; sister, Monica (Denny) Strickler of Galion; brother, Doug (Angie) Pfleiderer of Fredericktown and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 with military service to follow at 7:00 p.m.

Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail in care of the funeral home.
