LOUDONVILLE: Roger J. LaBelle went to be with the Lord Saturday evening, June 13, 2020, in Ashland Samaritan Hospital. He was 76.

He was born June 12, 1944, in North Tonawanda, New York to parents Earnest & Ruth (Young) LaBelle. On October 3, 1961, Roger decided to serve his country by joining the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1966.

Roger found his way to Loudonville in 2004 and has been at the Loudonville Rest Home ever since. He had a great sense of humor and always had a new joke to share. He was a member of the American Legion Post# 257 and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Loudonville.

He is survived by his sister Sondra LaBelle of Philadelphia, PA; 9 nieces and nephews; and longtime friends and caregiver Patty Thatcher and her family.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his siblings Maureen Misko and Douglas LaBelle.

Roger will be laid to rest in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. with Military Honors. Father Vincent Hawk will officiate.
