Rodney L. Furr

Rodney L. Furr, 53, of Galion, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, after an unexpected sudden illness.
Born April 19, 1959 in Crestline, he was the son of Herbert H. and Catherine “Kate” Wagner Furr who survive in Galion.
Rodney was a graduate of Galion High School in 1977. He liked to work and was a dedicated and loyal employee at Covert Manufacturing where he was a machinist for many years. Described as a “Man With a Plan” he always stuck with his “Plan”, always telling it like it was, getting directly to the point and for his unwavering honesty. He loved to garden and tinker on his old collectible cars and was a member of Galion Moose Lodge 303.
In addition to his parents, Rodney is also survived by his loving daughter, Amber N. Furr of Galion of whom he was most proud; four brothers, Mike and Shirley Furr of Galion, Gary and Carol Furr of Galion, Jeff and Stephanie Furr of Ashland and Dwayne and Dinora Furr of Hesperia, Calif.; one sister, Theresa Furr of Crestline and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion. A funeral service will be held for his family.
