            Rodger Kenneth Stoner, 72, of Danville died Wednesday morning, June 7, 2017 at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon.  He was born May 23, 1945 in Perrysville to the late Clarence and Mary (Davies) Stoner.        

            Rodger was a member of Saint Luke Catholic Church in Danville.  He worked for Flexible in Loudonville in 2003 for 33 years and for Sealand for 8 years before he retired.  Rodger was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Loudonville and a member of the Eastern Star where he had served as Worthy Patron.  He was also a member of the Colonial City Moose in Mount Vernon.  Rodger liked to golf, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Indians and watching his great nephew, Ceth Miller play football.

            Rodger is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley J. (Rusk) Stoner whom he married on May 31, 1976; sister, Ginny (Don) Miller of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.

            In addition to his parents, Rodger was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Eddie Stoner; and sisters, Nancy Miller and Patricia Reed.

            In following with Rodger’s wish there will not be any services.   A graveside service will be held in Saint Peter Catholic Cemetery in Loudonville at a later date.
