Roberta A. “Bobbi” Dinkel, 80, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018.

She was born August 3, 1937 in Thayer, Missouri and was the daughter of Lloyd and Beulah (Young) Hollowell. Bobbi is survived by her husband of 61 years, Norman F. Dinkel whom she married on May 27, 1956.

She graduated from Galion High School in 1955. Roberta was a member of the Galion Public Library and the First Lutheran Church, where she volunteered with funeral luncheons and many other things at church. Bobbi enjoyed playing cards with her Euchre Club and 313 cards at Pizza Hut on Monday’s. She worked several jobs throughout her life, including Galion Credit Bureau and Read More Bookstore in Mansfield. Roberta had a booth at an antique flea market in Amish country and dealt in old books and antiques for years. She loved spending time with her family and vacationing at Lakeside.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey L. Dinkel and David L. Dinkel both of Galion and Susan K. Kearney of Raleigh, North Carolina; her six grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Cory and Ryan Dinkel, Brittany and Mikey Kearney and her great-granddaughter Emma Poages.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law Michael Kearney.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at First Lutheran Church, 127 South Columbus St. Galion, Ohio with Rev. Mark Bogen officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Galion Public Library in care of the funeral home.
