Robert T. Quinn, age 77 of Fredericktown passed away Saturday morning, June 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Columbus  on February 1, 1941 to the late George J. and DeVera M. (Bricker) Quinn. A US Navy Veteran of the Cuban Crisis, he worked 35 years as a maintenance mechanic for Timken Roller Bearing before retiring.

Bob was a member of St John Neumann Church, Sunbury V.F.W. and Eagles, as well as AMVETS Post 59. He enjoyed a passion for horses, beginning with his first horse Faith, to BJQuincil, his winning pacer.  Mechanically inclined and a gifted welder, he could fix anything.  He also enjoyed playing cards.

A servant of all people, he treasured his friendships in the Amish community. At times stubborn, he was generous and committed to every endeavor. Simply put he was a tough old cowboy.  With Bob, family was always first and he was most proud of his son.

He is survived by his children: Robert II (Kris) Quinn, Donnie (Judy) Fetters, Sheri Fetters; grandchildren: Hunter, Donyel, Ashley, Cassie, Nick, Clint; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Brenda (Rick) Elfrink; brother  Donald J. (Jan) Quinn, James E. (Robin) Quinn; sister-in-law Dolly Luckhaupt,  brother-in-law Chuck Cornwell, and canine buddy Misty.

He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend of 33 years Jacqueline (Warren) in 2016, sister Beverly Cronwell , and brother George “Bill” Quinn.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m., with Rosary at 7:45 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. St. Rt. 61 at St Rt. 3, Sunbury, Ohio 43015. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church, 9633 E. SR 37, Sunbury, with Fr Paul Noble Celebrant. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Morrow County.
