Robert L. Leffler, age 74 of Centerburg died Monday, December 22, 2008 at Centerburg Pointe.

He was born on December 5, 1934 in Columbus to the late John W. and Rachel (Jones) Leffler. A graduate of Mifflin High School in 1952, he moved to Centerburg in 2003 from Southern Delaware County.

For over forty years he owned and operated B & B Signs in Columbus. A member of Lewis Center United Methodist Church, he was an avid fisherman. With a passion for gardening, he was known for his famous stink plant, but potatoes were his specialty. Quick witted and kind hearted, he enjoyed cutting the grass, burning fence rows, and Busch beer. He was most proud of his large family and their many accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Margaret, Children: Barbara (Brett) Livingston of Orlando, FL, Gary Leffler of Columbus, Michael (Elana) Hohl of Columbus, Mary (Terry) Allen of Centerville, Timothy (Julie) Hohl of Tampa, FL, John (Doreen) Hohl of Sunbury, Ann (Tim) Mobley of Palmetto, FL, Susan Schmidhammer of Sunbury, Christine (Jon) Brooks of Euless, TX, Charlene Hohl, of Pelham, AL, Raymond (Ruth) Hohl of New Albany, Lisa Wilson of Fredericktown, Michele (Bill) Stokes of Ostrander, Catherine (Dan) Lakeman of Charlotte, NC, Josephine (Herb) Pettit of Richmond, KY, Bruce (Karin) Hohl of Columbus, Jeanine (Bill) Seabrook of Sunbury, Matthew Hohl of Centerburg, 47 Grandchildren and Step-Grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren, Sister: Bessie Mollica of Columbus, Brother: Rick (Pam) Leffler of FL.

Preceded in death by brother: William.

Friends may call one hour prior to the Saturday 10:00 a.m. funeral services at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, with Rev. Bruce Benzing officiating, interment Resurrection Cemetery.
