Robert L. ”Bob” Seckel, age 83, of Marion, passed away Friday morning, November 20, 2015 at Marion Manor.  Bob was born March 22, 1932 in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl and Mildred (Mozier) Seckel.  He served in the US Army, worked for the Railroad and retired from Marion Steel. He married Gloria Searles in January of 1952 who survives.

He is survived by children Colleen (Domenick, Jr.) Marocco of Marion, Tammy Barber of Marysville, Robert “Bobby” Seckel of Fl., and Kathy (Jeff) Bowman of Ut.; five grandchildren, Domenick Marocco III, Steven Barber, Lauren (Nathan) Smith, Betsy (Aaron) Ballinger, and Matt Bowman; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Katie Bowman, brothers, Richard, Carl, and David Seckel; and sisters, Virginia Bowmer, Wanda Cothran, and Barbara Honaker.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kingston of Marion, Marion Manor and Ohio Health Hospice for the loving care they provided.

Private family burial will be held at The Marion Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by The Marion County United Veterans Council.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bob’s grandson, Domenick, at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger and Snyder Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice and online condolences may be expressed by visiting
