Robert E. Weigler

LEXINGTON: Robert E. Weigler, age 89, of Lexington, passed away at home Tuesday morning, March 29, 2011 following a five-month illness.
He was born September 18, 1921 in Mansfield the son of William J. and Barbara (Mayer) Weigler.
On December 20, 1941 he married Arlene Ross who survives.
Robert served in the U.S. Army during WWII from August of 1942 to February of 1946.
He worked as a machinist for Karma Metal Products and enjoyed woodworking, gunsmithing, hunting and numerous other outdoor activities.
Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Arlene Weigler of Lexington, a daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Roger Kingston of Crossville, TN, son and daughter-in-law Byron and Carolyn Weigler of Kinmundy, IL; three grandchildren and their spouses Ronald and Wendy Kingston of Lima, Diana and Clay Smith of Lucas, and Gregory and Charis Weigler of Plymouth, MI; three great grandchildren Taylor Kingston, Erika Smith and Cole Daniel Smith; and nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers William and Paul Weigler.
Graveside services will be held Friday April 1, 2011 at 1pm in Shauck cemetery where military honors will be performed by the Richland County Joint Veteran Burial Detail. Pastor Claude Likins will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Morrow County Society For Crippled Children & Adults may be made through Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home.
