Robert “Bob” E. Sexton, 60, of Marengo died Monday morning at his residence. He was born March 23, 1946 in Boyd County, Kentucky to Dow Sexton and Maxine (nee Crisslip) Sexton. A retired mechanic from Oberfield’s in Delaware, he was a US Army veteran who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and restoring old cars. He was also a member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Cook), whom he married in 1964; daughter, Nicole (Rick) Tackett of Delaware; 2 sons, Robert Jr. (Rene) Sexton and Timothy DeLong, all of Delaware; 3 grandchildren, Paige Tackett and Connor and Avery Sexton; brother, Dow (Kim) Sexton of Chillicothe; sister, Judi Lopez of Whitehall. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Charles. The family will receive friends on Friday February 2nd from 4 – 8 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Chapel, 1510 W. William St., Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Saturday February 3rd at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery, Kilbourne with the Delaware County Veterans Association providing military honors.
