  • Shocked, to say the least, to read about this in the Mount Vernon News. He had called me a few weeks ago, just to see how I was, and I was in the middle of something and didn’t call him back. He would have loved knowing things were going well fort me, he knew where I came from, and always wanted the best for me. Heartbroken, to say the least. This is such a sad day, he was such a cherished friend. We shared an affinity for guns, and he was always smarter and more informed than me about world events, about everything. He was more than a friend, he was a mentor. I’m stunned. I know he was happy to have found Kathy, he was the happiest I have ever seen him. This hurts my soul. Rest in Peace my cherished friend. My deepest condolences Kathy, Dave, Jess, and to the rest of his family and friends who loved him.

  • Dave was such a good man, a dear friend. We were looking so forward to our lunch with him and Kathy last Saturday, heartbroken to not have one more glimpse of his handsome face. Kathy, we were so happy he found you. You brought so much joy into his life! We will be forever grateful to you, Kathy, for making his last two years so wonderful for him! Our hearts are so heavy. They ache for the loss of our dear friend and we’re especially heartsick for you, dear Kathy. May God hold you close until you and Dave can be together again.

  • I am so sorry this has happened. You have been so happy with him. I can’t be with you because I am working but my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

  • Kathy every picture I seen of you and David the smiles you both had told me how happy you were to have found each other. Your time together was so short but I know alot of good memories were made with you and your families. I was so shocked to read of his passing…Sharon filled the blanks in for you Kathy .

  • Kathy, I am heartbroken over the loss of your wonderful love! I am sorry to have not had the opportunity to meet him. My prayers are with you! Hugs and love, Ann

Many of your friends, including me will be praying for you. May God bless you real good!! Love, hugs and prayers, Mabel Weller.

  • So shocked and sorry to learn about Dave. Although I hadn’t been in touch for the past several years I have many good memories of Dave, beginning when he joined our camera group many years ago.

  • I considered Dave a good friend. We shared many beliefs, hobbies and philosophies. I am ashamed I didn’t keep in touch better over the last 5 years. Dave was a wise man and was able to slow me down to smell the roses in this increasingly fast paced world. I will miss him. To his immediate family I wish you peace and the ability to celebrate the well lived life of my friend Dave.

  • So sorry for your loss. Dave will be missed by so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family.

  • Jessie ,Davey and Family,

We lost another dear friend on Christmas Eve…it’s so difficult to believe that Dave is gone.

  • Dave was a quiet, kind soul who always took the time to inquire about how things were going with you whenever he saw you. I know he was very happy to have found you Kathy. I am very sorry for your loss. I hope your memories will be a great comfort to you.
