Robert Charles Young

February 09, 1939 ‒ August 03, 2015

Bellville, Ohio

Robert Charles Young passed away Monday morning, August 3, 2015 in Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was 76.

He was born February 9, 1939 in Lexington to parents Adrian and Eleanor (Walker) Young. After he attended Lexington High School with the class of 1956, he proudly served his country by joining the US Navy.

Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR, and cheering on the Cleveland Browns, and the Buckeyes. In spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed taking care of this lawn. Roberts’s yard was as pristine as a golf course. But above all, he enjoyed spending time with the love of his life for over 30 years, Beverly.

He was a member of AMVETS #43 in Bellville, American Legion Post # 535 of Bellville, and the VFW in California.

He is survived by his loving wife Beverly Young of Bellville; daughters Kelly (Steve) Lopez, and Kim Garland; step children Edward (Kathy) Hurrell, Diantha (Russell) Oliver, and Vicki (Dick Carnes) Keen; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and brother-in-law Larry Black.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by sons Mike Young and Rick Young; step children Connie Hurrell, Rick Schulties, and Sam Schulties.

Although no public service will be held in Robert’s memory, his family hopes that you will hold him in your heart as you remember him in your own special way, as Beverly will be keeping his remains close with her.
