Robert Charles Eblin, age 78, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday February 15, 2004 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born March 27, 1925 in Mount Vernon to Charles Marshal Eblin and Leota Alma (Farley) Eblin and had spent his lifetime in the Knox County area. Mr. Eblin had been self-employed as a farm machinery dealer.

During World War Two he served with the United States Army Air Corps.

He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Surviving are his wife Helen Victoria (Bowman) Eblin whom he married December 20, 1944; two sons Terry (Shirleen) Eblin of Glasgow, Kentucky and David Eblin of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two daughters Barbara Eblin of Mount Vernon and Tammy (Kirk) Voclain of Homma, Louisiana; three grandchildren Katrina Eblin, Tammy Lynn Eblin and Scarlett Voclain; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Alma Wildman and Dorothy Newman.

There will be no calling hours. Private burial was in Brandon Cemetery. A memorial service will be Saturday Feb 21 at 3 PM at Kingdom Hall, 15 Taylor Road in Mount Vernon.
