Robert Alonzo Beal, Jr., age 53, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Port Clinton, OH while vacationing with his family.

An Electrician with T&B Electric for 13 years Bob was a man of faith, competitive, a hard worker but played hard as well.  He enjoyed traveling, playing cornhole and golf, fishing for Walleye, hunting, camping and Ohio State sports.  He mostly enjoyed time with family, playing with his children and grandchildren and never missed attending their sporting events.

Born January 13, 1967 in Columbus to Robert A. Sr. and Vivian E. (McCormick) Beal who survive.  Graduate of Big Walnut High School.

Preceded in death by grandparents, Denver and Ada McCormick, Burley Beal; grandson, Jonathan Beal.

Also survived by loving wife of 33 years, Sandy L. (Dawson) Beal; devoted sons, Jonathan R. (Lindsey Ann), Nicholas S. (Hallie) and Michael A. (Taylor) Beal all of Marengo; grandmother, Jean Beal of Centerburg; brother, Joseph (Candace) Beal of Delaware; sister, Tiffany (Kevin) Popell of Cardington; grandchildren, Kylee, Jake, Dawson, Ava, Gannon, Harper and Madelyn.

Private family service and interment.  A public Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

  • I grew up with Rob as my neighbor I looked up to him as a kid and even more as an adult! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time. Rest in peace. He will surely be missed.
