Bob moved to Delaware, Ohio where he was hired on by Delaware Hayes High School as a American History and Government Teacher. Bob also coached the wrestling, football, and golf. Bob was with Delaware Hayes for 30 years before his retirement.

Growing up on a farm, Bob grew to love horses, his father raised several Pacers, most of which would be trained as race horses. Bob was a horseman at heart, rarely missing the Little Brown Jug. Bob’s greatest achievement was being the owner of Izatiger, who won Aged Pacer of the Year. Bob was a member of the US Trotting Association, and Ohio Harness Horseman Association.

Bob was an outdoorsman at heart, spending the first 10 years married with Michele, traveling and camping. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid golfer. Those close to Bob will remember him as the loving, honest, loyal, and eternal fighter that he was.

  • Michelle,
I am so saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. He was one of the most loyal friends a guy could have. I am blessed to have spent so much time with him over the years. From the golf trips to euchre club to teaching and coaching we always had a great time. He will be greatly missed. God bless you in these tough times.
    Sincerely,

  • It’s with a sad heart that I received the notification of Bob’s passing . I feared this would be the case but Bob had overcome so many health issues that I held hope he would once again. As his older cousin, I used to wrestle him and he always claimed I beat up on him! We shared many fun family times growing up and my own children also loved Bob even though we didn’t see him often. I love his wife Michele and am so sorry for her loss! Sending love to Susan and Jeri and their sons. Bob will always be in my heart!❤️

  • I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. I do know that he loved you so much Michele! I will miss him deeply. I have so many GREAT memories with Bob. He was such a great man and would do anything for anyone who needed him. I will always treasure all of our golf trips and playing every Saturday morning for many years. (And of course, our giving each other the business of the Bengals/Browns rivalry). My prayers and thoughts are with you Michele.

  • Bob, or should I say Santa?! My wiser, older, funny friend that allowed me to become a part of your world! I will miss you for so many reasons, but ones that I hold dear to my heart are your love for Michele and the other is your role as Santa in my children’s lives. You never flinched at helping anyone or any animal. You jumped at the chance to bring Santa to life for us all. You will be missed so much.

I was very saddened to learn of Bob’s passing. I always thought so highly of both of you. I enjoyed being with Bob in dishonest euchre games at the Elks and ill-fated fishing trips in Tennessee. I wish you peace. Love to both of you.

  • It’s very sad to hear this news. I was one of his History/Government students in the 1980s at Hayes H.S., and his teaching helped imbue a lifelong need to pay attention to the government, what it does, how it functions, and the history that effects the function of our government, whether it is Local, State, or Federal. I counted Mr. Morris as one of my favorite teachers, a small part of Mr. Morris lives in ALL of his students, including me.

My sincere condolences to the entire family for your loss, I understand how tough it is to lose such an outstanding individual from your life.

God bless you all and Mr. Morris.

  • I’m very sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. Prayers for you and the whole family as you navigate this time of loss. Remember the good times and let those times lift you up.

  • I’m so very sorry to learn of Bob’s passing. I’m fortunate to have known him and be able to call him a friend and colleague. You and yours are in my thoughts, Michelle.

  • I was a student of Mr. Morris while at Hayes from 1974-1978. He was one of my favorite teachers even though I hated history and didn’t do good in the subject. I had a major crush on him lol. He was a good teacher. So sorry to hear of his passing. RIP!

  • So sorry to hear of Mr.Morris passing. He was always Mr Morris or Coach Morris to me. The great memories of playing football for him and learning from him. Prayers and thoughts are with his family. Truly a sad day.

  • That is very sad news. I had Mr. Morris for History and really enjoyed his sense of humor. I also had him for homeroom one year and I was late pretty much every day. My excuse, which I thought was perfectly reasonable, was “I have to walk to school.” (Which I said rather indignantly.) He would just shake his head, sigh, and with a wry smile say, “Oh, Flanagan, just sit down.”

  • I am so sorry to hear about Mr Morris’ passing. Remember him fondly from Govt class at Hayes in the early 80’s. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers Michele.

  • Michelle I am so sorry for your loss. Mr.Morris was my History teacher at Hayes. You were my 7th and 8th grade teacher. Its Malinda (Shoaf) Combs. Take care of yourself. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Coach Raker-Morris. I am very sorry to hear about Mr Morris! I was just telling my son about him the other day! You are in my thoughts and Prayers. Love and hugs to you during this difficult time! ❤️

  • Gone far too soon! So saddened to hear of Coach Mo’s passing…a wonderful gent who taught me far more than football and government. Will miss that smile and gruff voice, Rest In Peace Coach, thanks for all your wisdom and friendship, prayers to family and Michele.

  • Sorry to hear of his passing. Mr. Morris was a great teacher and coach when I was at Delaware Hayes. Later in life he was just Bob and a friend. I saw him occasionally and he always remember me. I always loved seeing him at the track which he loved. He will be missed. Rest in peace Bob. 👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

  • I am so sorry, Michele. I will miss Bob. What a great human being. Always there and always ready to help anyone. A genuine heart of gold. I will cherish a long list of wonderful memories we’ve all shared.

  • Coming from a small family Bob Morris was my only male cousin. When I got the message from my sister of Bob’s passing I was wearing an Ohio State golf shirt that Bob had given me about 10 years ago when we played together in the member guest golf tournament in Virginia Beach, Va. my hometown. I love that shirt and will be wearing it today in Bob’s memory at a charity golf tournament for the USO.

To Michelle and Bob’s family, some of you know that I’m in what is called the domain name business and I’m in the process of creating an APP named; PraytheirName.com. While I’ve already prayed Bob”s and Michelle’s name, once the app is developed they’ll be the very first names to be prayed to the cloud.

God Bless you Bob…..please make a tee time for us in heaven and I’ll bring the Bloody Mary’s.

    Cousin Rich
