MANSFIELD: Bob Tresh, formerly of Van Buren Street, Mansfield, passed away Friday afternoon April 16, 2010 in Woodside Village of Mount Gilead. He was 77.

Born Robert Alden Tresh on December 30, 1932 in Shiloh, he was the son of Emery and Valetta (Cramer) Tresh.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, Bob was a Mansfield area resident most of his life. He retired from Sonitrol Security in 2003 with 20 years of service, and thereafter worked with the Volunteers of America.

He put his strong work ethic to good use building lawn furniture, refurbishing bicycles or any kind of construction jobs…he was an all around Mr. Fix-It and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his children and their spouses Joan Lee & Ted Hulls of Delaware, Robert Tresh, Jr. of Johnsville, Rixson & Zelma Tresh of Mount Gilead, Charles & Ginny Tresh of Mansfield, Donna Jean & Wayne Mauk of Bellville, Don R. Tresh of Mansfied, Annette M. & Jeff Meyers in Delaware, William H. Tresh of Paige, AZ, Rodney & Karen Tresh in California and Paula D. & Jason Chumbly of Mansfield; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law Kenneth & Pam Tresh of Ashland; a sister Linda Burnett of Mansfield..

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Burdine Tresh in 1994; and also by sisters Evonadelle Heckman, Shirley Tresh, and Bertha Swauger.

The Tresh family will receive friends Monday, April 19, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park, where the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will hold graveside military honors.
