Riley “Jim” Wilson, age 60, of St. Rt. 61, Mt. Gilead, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at the Marion General Hospital.

He was born October 24, 1942, in Richland,VA, the son of William J. & Bessie M. (Hess) Wilson. He was a 1961 graduate of Iberia High School and was retired from G.M. in Mansfield. He was a member of the UAW Local 549, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a member of AMVETS Post 87 and V.F.W. post 8054.

Riley is survived by his mother, his loving wife, Phyllis “Jeanne” (Brown) Wilson, whom he married November 21, 1962, two sons & daughters-in-law; Rick and Kimberly Wilson of Denver, N.C., and Adrian & Barb Wilson of Homer Glen, IL, 2 granddaughters, April & Amber Wilson, a brother & sister-in-law, Chester & Becky Wilson of Pataskala, OH, 3 sisters & brothers-in-law; Kate & Herbert Gilbert of Raymondville, TX, Pauline & Gale Gibson of Grand Blanc, MI, and Nancy & Robert Wagner of Bryan, OH. He also leaves behind many friends.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, James Douglas Wilson.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 25, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main St., Mt. Gilead. Reverend Louis Boston will conduct graveside services Friday at 1 p.m. in Iberia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Morrow County.
