  • So sorry to hear the passing of Rick. My prayers are with his family. Although I did not keep in touch with him after school I have a fond memory of him and I singing “He’s Got The Whole World in His Hands”, during a talent show at Ashley Elementary. We got a standing ovation. Rick was always a good guy.

  • Brenda, Joshua, Jeremy & Wanda:
Please know, even now, your family is being covered in prayer and I am so very sorry for your loss. I had hoped to be able to make it for visitation but unfortunately it is just not going to work out. Since first grade and some fifty-three years later I always considered Rick a lifelong friend. We grew up 1/4 mile apart. I have so many fond memories of growing up and Rick was so funny – ornery when we were growing up. I thought the world of his dad (Elzie) and mom (Bobbie) and all the siblings. Rick was a humble man but a great example of someone who cherished his wife and married for life, loved everyone of his kids, took care of his parents, and was loyal to his employers. So many wonderful memories I could probably fill a book. I have been truly honored to have known Rickey “Leon” Ramey. May his friends and family always know how much they were loved and cared for and that he always put them ahead of himself. You were his glory and delight. May God Bless you, keep you and shine His face upon you always and forever…
