  • Carla,
May God comfort you with his love and the sweet memories of Rick.
His love for God and serving others was so admirable. He always had s smile and kind words for everyone he met and inspired those around him to enjoy the moment of life given them. Laughter and fun was part of Rick’s recipe to enjoy life while he was helping others.

Some of my fondest memories, other than being a special friend, will be his love for children at our school. Rick’s love and patience was really admired when he helped our elementary students build a treehouse for the playground. However, the fun and excitement elevated as you and Rick brought the Christmas spirit to our school each year you decorated the school campus and added the special touches to our entries in the Christmas Parade of Lights.

Will never forget Rick accepting the enormous task of being Santa for our school. He had only one request for the beautiful sleigh you decorated for him…a fan!
He patiently listened and responded so sweetly to hundreds of children tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

Your and Rick’s talents complimented each other and our students received the blessing. Thank you for sharing Santa (Rick) that will be in memory photos of our parents and students (and hearts) forever!

May God bless you for the love and extra special care you gave Rick to keep him home during his illness. You are in our thoughts and prayers .

    Love you

  • Dear Carla, L’Donna and I want you to know that you and your family are in our prayers. I am so saddened to hear of Ricks passing. He was such a good friend and Brother Mason. He was very loved and respected. Joe Hogue

  • Dear Carla, I am so very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed the volunteer and other opportunities with the two of you. Rick was always a YES just waiting for the Can You Help. He was just one of those people everyone respected and enjoyed being around. He will truly be missed by many. May he Rest In Peace. And may God bless and comfort you and yours. Judy McCallum-Lee. 💕

Praying for you and all the family. As day’s go by may you find much comfort in your family and friend’s. The lost of a husband takes a piece of your heart with him, but always know and follow God’s plan he has for all of us.

    God Love and Peace,
