Richard M. ”Dick” Deminski, age 80, of Mount Vernon, died Thursday December 10, 2009 at his residence. Dick was born August 12, 1929 in Cleveland to Michael and Margaret (Fekete) Deminski. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Engineering with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was retired from A.C.I. Services in Mount Vernon.

He was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon, was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Methodist Men’s Club in Conway, South Carolina and had served on various committees at the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. Dick was a 40year member of the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club.

Surviving are his wife Marilyn L. (Stillwell) Deminski whom he married August 29, 1953; his son Michael Deminski of Denver, Colorado; daughter and son-in-law Lynne and Robert Kuehne of Highland, Michigan; five granddaughters Kara Deminski, Hannah Deminski, Leah Deminski, Laura Kuehne and Christine Kuehne; and his sister Viola Lade of Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held Sunday December 13, 2009 at 3pm at the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon with Rev. Warren Outhwaite officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2pm to 3pm at the church. Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens at a later date.
