Richard A. Morrison, age 68 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital.

Rick was born on December 26, 1946 in Marion, the son of Durward E. and Daisy J. (Armbruster) Morrison. He graduated from Harding High School in the class of 1964. Rick worked for the Railroad for many years, before he owned and operated a pizza shop in Marion. Rick was an avid Ohio State fan along with cheering on the Cleveland Browns and the Indians.

On December 3, 1977, Rick was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Snider in Marion at Fite Memorial Baptist Church.

Rick proudly served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army.

Rick is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Morrison; his children: Matthew Morrison and Scott (Lindsey) Morrison; granddaughters Claire and Avery Morrison; a brother David E. Morrison and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Martin Lee and George E. Morrison.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 2PM to 5PM; Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM; Burial will be in Caledonia Cemetery.

The family would like to sincerely thank their special friend Marilyn McBeth, the nursing staff of Marion General Hospital and all of the staff at Heartland of Marion for the exceptional care given to Rick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
