Richard A. Gallimore, age 69, of Mobile, Alabama, and formerly of Marion, Ohio, finally got his wish to “live with Jesus” on Monday, January 18, 2010.

On November 1, 1940, Richard was born in Marion, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond Gallimore and Ethel Grover. He graduated from Marion Harding High School in the Class of 1958.

In 1963, Richard graduated from the Ohio State College of Pharmacy and he worked as a registered pharmacist for over 40 years in various pharmacies throughout Ohio. For many years he and his family lived in Candlewood Lake, in Mount Gilead, Ohio.

Richard was a member of the Dauphin Way Baptist Church.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Tamara L. Gallimore; two daughters: Kimberly (Dennis) Kirven of Richmond, VA, and Amy (Dan, Jr.) Cottrell of Mobile, AL; one son, Daniel (Tess) Gallimore of Coventry, CT; four granddaughters: Kelsea and Kaylea Kirven, Virginia and Emmalie Cottrell; two grandsons: Austin and Tyler Gallimore; two brothers: David (Nancy) Gallimore of Lancaster, Ohio, and John (Donna) Grover of Villa Rica, GA; three nieces, two nephews, and other relatives.

The Gallimore family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2010, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion, where services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Chris Kinner officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens.

His family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the Eight Mile Nursing and Rehab Center, and to Coastal Hospice, for the loving care given to him by their staff.
