MANSFIELD: Rebecca M. Wilson, 84, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning March 29, 2007 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a short illness.
She was born September 16, 1922 in Salyersville, Kentucky to Sam P. and Mary Arnett, and came to the Mansfield area in 1953.
After an initial position with Mansfield Tire & Rubber Company, she returned to school at Mansfield Business College to complete her education. Rebecca then took an office position with Duff Truck Line.
Having earned her real estate license, she affiliated with Whatman Realty, and worked as a residential realtor, retiring in the late 1980s.
An avid quilt maker, Rebecca enjoyed nights out playing Bingo, occasional casino trips to Windsor or Las Vegas, and lavished attention on her Siamese cat Sammy.
She was a member of Perrysville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law William “Bill” and Mary Ann Jackson of Mansfield; grandchildren Joseph and Lorie Jackson of Loudonville, Kimberly Jackson and her husband Paul Landsburg of Raleigh, North Carolina, Rob and Debi Foss of Lucas, Randy and Sharon Foss of Loudonville, Ron Foss of Lucas, and Rick and Susan Foss of Lucas; 18 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; nephews Bob Baughman, Fred Baughman, James Strickling and David Strickling; and cherished friends Marjorie Milliron and Laura Lester.
She was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Baughman and Bonnie Strickling; a brother Stanley Arnett; and a nephew Herman Baughman, Jr.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 2, 2007 from 5-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. The worship service, giving Glory to God for the life of Rebecca M. Wilson will be held Tuesday at 10 am in Perrysville Baptist Church, 118 South Bridge Street, Perrysville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Bunkerhill Cemetery.
