Rebecca Ann Hunt
May 27, 1969 ‒ March 12, 2020
Rebecca Ann “Becky” Hunt, age 51 of Ashley died tragically Thursday, March 12, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident which occurred on Interstate 71 near the Fifth St Exit in Columbus late Thursday afternoon.
Born on May 27, 1968, she was a daughter of the late Davis D. and Diane B. (Thompson) Dildine. She graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1986 and played the saxophone with the band. For most of her working career she worked as a pharmacy technician with Kroger’s. She had also worked with Buckeye Valley East Elementary School and JEGS North location.
Kind hearted, she was always available to those in need. First and foremost she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and attending her children’s sporting events. She was a collector of many things, but especially owls, lighthouses, and cookie jars. She also enjoyed crafts and attending craft shows with her family.
Becky favored Celtic and Irish music, as well as gardening. She attended the Hanley Road Southern Baptist Church in Mansfield. Although tough, she was sympathetic and comforting. Generous to a fault, she was not one to keep a secret, a cumbersome trait during the holidays, especially Christmas, which she loved. She also possessed a sweet tooth; her favorite treats were chocolate, tiramisu, and most especially baklava. Becky treasured time spent with her family and feline companions and will be remembered for her love of each one.
Those left to treasure her memory include her beloved husband of 31 years Floyd Hunt, son Corbin (Shannon) Hunt of Ashley, daughter Ariel (Bill) Patton of Winston-Salem, NC, granddaughter Amelia Hunt, and brother David Dildine of Delaware.
Friends may call from 4:00 – 6:30 on Monday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware, where services will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor John Burghard officiating.
