Rebecca Ann “Becky” (Price) Youll
April 11, 1961 ‒ August 12, 2018
Rebecca Ann “Becky” (Price) Youll, age 57, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with cancer. She “fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
On April 11, 1961, Becky was born in Marion, Ohio, the youngest of four children of the late Harry “Dick” and Margaret “Pete” (Austin) Price. She graduated from River Valley High School in the class of 1979.
One fateful night in 1985, Becky was introduced to her future husband, Peter Youll, in the middle of Night Moves at the Southland Mall in Marion. They have been by each other’s side ever since and were married on December 13, 1986. Together they shared thirty-one wonderful years of marriage, and lovingly raised three daughters: Lauren, Paige, and Sarah.
For the first twenty plus years of Becky’s career, she was a travel agent extraordinaire for Marion Travel and then Uniglobe Town & Country Travel. The last ten years, she spent helping the youth of Marion with unplanned pregnancies at the Marion Adolescent Pregnancy Program / Help Me Grow programs. She worked there until two and a half years ago, when her cancer returned.
Very faithful, Becky recently enjoyed attending the Marion First Church of the Nazarene. She also was raised in and was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Marion.
Beautiful inside and out, Becky was always “put together.” She loved to dress to impress for any and every occasion, which also gave her a good reason to go shopping. Becky was an avid shopper, always looking for a bargain, often scouring the aisles at T.J. Maxx. She also loved OSU football, a good Danielle Steel novel, and country music.
Becky’s eye for design didn’t end with clothes, as she also had a knack for interior decorating. This led to many honey do lists / “projects for Pete,” who would literally do anything for his beloved wife.
A proud “Grammy”, Becky adored her precious grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil and play with.
Becky truly lived her life with dignity and grace. She was a strong woman (sometimes also a stubborn woman), who never let on about her struggles within.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Peter Youll of Marion; three daughters: Lauren (Cpt. Adam) Lawson of Stuttgart, Germany, Paige (Kim) Youll of Clarksville, TN, and Sarah (Tyler) McNeal of Marion; four grandchildren: Emmerson, Liam and Gavin Lawson, and Quinn McNeal; three brothers: Scott (Deb) Price, Greg (Jackie) Price, and Mike Price; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene, 233 W Church St, Marion. Services honoring her life will also be held there at 10 a.m. on Friday, with Dr. Steve Estep officiating. Burial will follow in Claridon Cemetery. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite OSU Buckeye gear to the Thursday visitation service celebrating Becky’s life.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House Foundation (fisherhouse.org) who build comfort homes where military and veterans families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital, or to the American Cancer Society (https://donate3.cancer.org/).
