Reba O’Kelley, age 82, of Delaware died Saturday afternoon, May 15, 2004, at Wintersong Village Nursing Facility.
She was born in Asheville, North Carolina on December 1, 1921 to the late Horace and Melissa (Burton) Godfrey. Reba was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and worked in the Deli department at Kroger’s. She will be remembered and loved for her dedication to her family. She enjoyed reading novels, watching soap operas, crocheting, and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by Daughter; Sharon (John) Crosbie of Ostrander, Sons; Michael (Cynthia) O’Kelley of St. Charles, IL., Patrick (Sue) O’Kelley of Tuscon, AZ., and Steven (Yoko) O’Kelley of Gonzales, LA., 8 Grandchildren; Patrick, Sharon, Brian, Steve, Jennifer, Sean, Kent, and Keane, and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Charles O’Kelley in 1952, and her sister; Mildred Gillespie.
Friends may attend a graveside memorial service on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Father David Sizemore Celebrant. Arrangements were handled by the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware.
