DELAWARE: Raymond L Geary, Sr, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at home surrounded by family and Capital City Hospice.

He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on November 27, 1933 to the late Tellos B. and Elizabeth M. (Oakleaf) Geary. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Jacqueline M. Geary and his youngest brother Dennis Geary.

He is survived by his 4 children, Vicki Geary of Mansfield, Ohio, Raymond L. Geary, Jr, of Seattle, Washington, Kimberly Giddinge of Wakefield, Massachusetts, and Bridget (Jared) Bratt of Delaware, Ohio, along with four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Janet (Geary) Gordon, and brothers David (Jean) Geary and Donald (Marjorie) Geary.

Aside from being a caring and loving husband, father, and brother, Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1973, where he retired after 21 years of service as a Chief.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday July 27 at 10:30 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Ontario, Ohio. Celebrant Jerry Wilson will speak. American Legion Post #535 will conduct graveside military honors.

    I was so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I will always remember the trip to Ohio with the motorhome when they decided to move out to Ohio – I drove the Lincoln Towncar. It was nice to have that time with them.
