Ralph E. Treisch, 93, of 871 Biddle Road, Galion died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at Galion Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Jan. 19, 1913 in Crawford Co., he was the son of the late Joseph Treisch and Sophie Sites Treisch. He was preceded in death on Apr. 27, 2000 by his wife, Bessie I. Grogg Treisch whom he married on July 20, 1935.

He was a member of the former St. Mark United Methodist Church in Galion where he served as head usher for many years. His favorite Bible passage was the 23rd Psalm. He was also a member of Men’s Club at Church and the Church Dart Ball League. He retired from the former Peabody Galion, where he worked in production control. He also farmed 30 years East of Galion. During World War II he worked as a brakeman and conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence E. and Deborah Treisch of Galion; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one sister, Matilda Holland of Galion.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard E. Treisch, four brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, with Dr. Daniel Turner officiating. Burial will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
