Ralph Duane Saultz, 78, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 31, 2002 in Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.

He was born in Guernsey County, Ohio on May 20, 1924, the son of the late Edward and Minnie Walton Saultz. He graduated from Buffalo High in 1942. He worked as a truck driver for Film Transit Company in Cleveland until retiring. He was a member of the Pines Christian Church and an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Antoon Saultz, whom he married Feb. 4, 1976; seven sons Ralph, Greg and Michael Saultz all of Lorain, OH, Robert and Curtis McDaniel of Mansfield, OH, Joseph McDaniel and Peter Saultz of Mt. Gilead, OH; three daughters Jessica Vezina of Loraine, OH, Billie Jo Keen of Mt. Gilead, OH, and Jennifer Boyd of Marengo, OH; 21 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister Melba Buckie of Grove City, OH.

A son David, a brother Clarence, and sisters Marie, Rosa and Ethel also preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Craven Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Neil Gilliland will conduct funeral services in the Pines Christian Church Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
