Phyllis Lorraine McCann

Phyllis Lorraine McCann was born on February 8, 1928. She went home to be with our heavenly father on May 13, 2009, she was 81. Phyllis died at home in Marion with her granddaughter and her husband at her side.
During World War Two Phyllis was featured as a pin up girl for the Army. We call Phyllis “Fe-Fe”. She went to work at age 14 and worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” to help support her family during WWII. Phyllis served others her whole life and she will be strongly missed.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Douglas E. McCann in December 1979 and by her dear friend Robert L. Miller in January 2002. Howard F. Stimson her brother in July 1969, her mother Ester Elvira in 1963, father Faye Stimson in July 1987, her mother-in-law Marie McCann in 1998 and her grandson Adam Douglas Neace January 2000.
Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter Sandy Dorumus and husband Ed living in Colorado, her loving son from Cardington Bill McCann and wife Debbie, loving granddaughter Jan Birdsong and her husband Lynnie. Who loved, cared and adored her with all Phyllis’s needs. Her sister and dear friend living in Cedarburg, Wisconsin is Shirley A. Peters and her husband Joseph, they have four children: Her cousin Carol from Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Phyllis has seven grand children, 4 great grand children and 1 great great daughter.
Private family services were held at the West Union Street Cemetery in Athens, Ohio.
