She was a devoted member of First United Church of Christ where she volunteered at community breakfasts and other events. She also volunteered at Marion General Hospital, where she worked in the gift shop.
She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by her large circle of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please send gifts in her memory to First United Church of Christ. The family wishes to especially thank her caregiver Lois Shuler and Dr. Arvinder Bhinder and staff, for their loving and compassionate care that improved and extended the quality of her life during her last years, in which she battled life-threatening illness with grace and courage.
“If I could give you one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then, would you realize how special you are.”
