MANSFIELD: Phillip Lamp, 75, of Lexington Avenue, died Wednesday afternoon August 22, 2007 in Crystal Care Center following a long illness.
He was born June 7, 1932 in Civac, Yugoslavia, to Henry and Elisabeth Lamp, and had lived in Mansfield since 1952.
Mr. Lamp had worked in the dietary department of MedCentral Mansfield Hospital 20 years, and also worked at Lamp’s Dry Cleaning.
An avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his children. Phillip will be remembered as a loving father, and a friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Philip and Hilda Lamp, Robert and Mary Lamp, and George Lamp all of Mansfield; grandchildren Matt, Mike, Amber, Justin and Robbie; great grandchildren Aiden, Aubrey, Jaxson, Jada, and Kennedy; brothers and sisters-in-law Frank and Linda Lamp, Karl and Mary Lou Lamp, Arnold and Debbie Lamp all of Mansfield and Ernest Lamp of Marietta; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Rose Lamp and Elizabeth Lamp and Bob Johnson all of Mansfield; along with nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Adam, Fred, and John Lamp, and sisters Katherine Lamp and Helen Johnson.
Personalized services to accommodate the family were held at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. John Bach officiated. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crystal Care Center, as the Lamp Family wishes to extend their most heartfelt thanks to the staff there for the excellent care and love extended to Phillip.
