Peter Mario Curti, age 79 of Galena, OH, died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Mt. Carmel West, Columbus.
Born Jan. 5, 1924 in Cleveland to the late Ferdinand and Jennie Euse Curti. Owned and operated Ninth House Book Shoppes in N. Royalton and Brecksville, Ohio. US Army Veteran of WW II, Member of Cleveland Hiking Club, American Federation of Musicians Local #4, and Circolo Calabrese Italian Club.
Peter resided in California from 1950 – 1966, where he played the trumpet with various Big Bands including the Charlie Bennett Band.
Survived by loving wife of 31 years: Clotilde “Clo” Politi-Kean Curti, Children: Peter C. (Mina) Curti of Los Angeles, CA, Daniel (Carolyn) Kean of Brecksville, Thomas (Kim) Kean of Somerset, KY, David (Pam) Kean of Medina, Carol (Jack) McCarrick of Galena, Jacqueline Kean of Cleveland.
Loving Grand-Papa of Danny, Jessica, Matthew, Cassandra Curti, Mary, Allison, Morgan Kean, Samantha Layton, John & Brandi Kean, Katie Yek, Molly & Michael McCarrick, Great-Grand Papa of Lilly Kean, Michael Layton, Sister: MARIE DeFranco of Cleveland, and extended family. He will be missed by Koko and Misty.
Preceded in death by Brother: Carl Curti.
A Memorial Mass will be held 7:30 P.M. on Friday – June 27, 2003 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E. SR 37, Sunbury, Fr James Walter Celebrant.
DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury are assisting the family.
