Peggy A. Wymer

Peggy A. Wymer, age 76 of Delaware passed away at home early Friday, January 27, 2017 while surrounded by her immediate family in part from a broken heart following the death of her husband and son during the past year.
She was born on November 13, 1940 in Columbus to the late Rev. Byrtle R. and Esther L. (Laff) Kean. Peggy retired from PPG in 2002 where she had worked as a receptionist, in the mail and accounting departments.
Peggy had been a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church and sang in the church choir. She along with her husband where bowlers in their younger years. She was an avid reader of romance novels and enjoyed caring for her family and grandchildren. Peggy will be remembered for her loving and caring attributes as well as spending time with her treasured families.
She is survived by her children, children Harry “Jamie” Wymer Jr. and Hope Miller both of Delaware, 8 grandchildren; Travis, Cory, Victoria (Dillon), Drew, Amanda (Kevin) Quentin, AJ, Savanah, 2 great grandsons Nathan and Kevin Jr., former daughter-in-laws Tracy, Dawana, sisters Nancy Flowers, Penny (John) Sebring, Fay (Don) Kanode, brother Randy (Mona) Kean, mother-in-law Ruby Helton of Sunbury, brother-in-laws Donald (Ruth) Wymer of Marengo, Charles (Jeanine)Wymer of Galena, sisters-in-law Luana (John) Simpson of Columbus, Nancy Bartley of Delaware, Laura Pennington of Sunbury, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years: Harry “Jimmy” Wymer Sr. on March 15, 2016,son Ray Wymer on November 2, 2016, granddaughter Ashley Wallace in 1994, and brother-in-laws; Keith Brooks, Steve Bartley, Roy Flowers, Nick Pennington, fathers-in-law James Wymer and Everett Helton.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery.
