PORT CHARLOTTE, FLORIDA: Pauline Margaret Palm, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida, and formerly of Muth Road, Mansfield, died Saturday morning April 10, 2004 in Her home following a long illness.
She was born September 2, 1919 in Kenton to Russell and Marian (Howe) Bell, and was graduated from Kenton High School in 1936.
On April 6, 1947, she married H. Wendell Palm, her husband of 57 years, who survives. Pauline was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who cherished her grandchildren.
An avid bowler, Pauline had worked in the dress department of the O’Neil’s Department Store, in their downtown Mansfield location.
Pauline and Wendell moved to Worthington in 1951, ten years later to Washington, D.C., to Akron in 1964, in 1968 to Brecksville, on to Tucker, Georgia in 1973, before retiring to Port Charlotte in 1974.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte and an Auxiliary member of Eagles Aerie #555 in Akron.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey A. and Susan Palm of Canton, Georgia; two grandchildren and their spouses Jeffrey A., II and Kerri Palm of Canton, Georgia and Matthew and Alissa Palm of Acworth, Georgia; and two great grandchildren Natalie Palm and Grant Wendell Palm.
She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law Gene S. and Beth Palm.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 15, 2004 from 6-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Friday at 2 pm. Pastor Jack Sharp will officiate. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte may be made at the funeral home.
