Paul “Rick” Davis, 61, of Galion passed away Tuesday, October 27 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 21, 1954 in Shelby, he was the son of the late Paul Davis and Doris (Kincaid) Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Billie (Jacobs) Davis on August 12, 2006 and she survives.

He was a graduate of Crestline/Pioneer JVS and worked for Covert Manufacturing for 32 ½ years. Rick attended CitiChurch in Bellville and was previously a member of First United Church of Christ in Galion. He enjoyed carving, fishing, hunting arrowheads and collecting Hot Wheels cars.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by daughters Jennifer (George) Gushard of Mansfield and Kathleen Mascazine of North Carolina; step-children Eric (Jorge) Kent of Ontario, California, Renee (Brian) Amburgey of Shelby and Crystal (Bryce) Harris of Lexington; grandchildren Matthew, Lilly, Havik, Dacota, Alyssa, Tyler and Camden; sister Sharon (Dave) Vinson of Indianapolis, Indiana and special friends Bennie Horton, Dave and Rhonda Molton and Rita McDaniel.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by sister April Barnett.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at First United Church of Christ, 248 Harding Way West, Galion, Ohio 44833, where a memorial service will be held at 11a.m.with Pastor Darrin Harvey and Pastor Micah Pelkey officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Church of Christ, CitiChurch or HomeCare Matters Hospice in care of the funeral home.
