Paul Gilbert O’Bryan, 79, of Delaware passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 22, 1936, the son of the late John W. O’Bryan and Elda V. (Sanders) O’Bryan.
Paul was a member of the United States Army and served his country from May 1955 – March 1957. He worked for 19 years as a press operator for SunRay Stove and 8 ½ years as a school bus driver for Olentangy Local Schools. Paul was also a retired Reverend and former Pastor of North Lewisburg Church of Christ Christian Union.
On April 27, 1957 Paul married Shelby “Jeanie” (Jarrett) O’Bryan who survives.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Paul is survived by his son, Joseph (Sandy) O’Bryan of Mt.Vernon; daughter-in-law, Debora O’Bryan of Delaware; five grandchildren, Wesley, Jennifer, Matthew, Rebecca, and Adamm O’Bryan; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Macy, Ethan, Caelyn, Elenor, Grayson, and Rylee; two brothers, Tommy (Stella) O’Bryan and Danny O’Bryan; and two sisters, Margie Mann and Ruth Ann Weaver.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by one son, Gilbert “Gib” O’Bryan.
Visitation will be held at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, Delaware, Ohio on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tony Blackburn officiating.

Uncle Paul will be missed by all of our families. We know he is in a better place now with no pain. He’s now in heaven with Grandpa & Grandma as well as my Dad(John W. O’Bryan Jr. & (2) of our Bros. Jack & Tony. It won’t be long ’til we’ll all be there with Uncle Paul.
Uncle Paul will be terribly missed. He&I had a special relationship. I still have the letter he sent me 24 years ago, in my bible. He is with Jesus now! And grandma & grandpa, uncle Eddie, uncle Johnny, uncle Richard… So many loved ones are surrounding him now….
