Paul E. Painter

Paul E. Painter, 66, of 1965 State Route 598, Galion, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born March 19, 1939 in Willard, he was the son of the late George Painter and Viola Teeman Painter. He married Juanita S. “Nita” Black Painter on September 29, 1962 who survives.
He was a graduate of Willard High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Galion First Church of the Nazarene where he served as a board member and assisted his wife in leading the teen group for many years. He enjoyed being a wonderful husband and father and liked his dog Toby.
He was an auto mechanic most of his life at various places including Inmon Motors in Willard. He then worked in security at Guardian Manufacturing where he was presently employed.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J. and Raymond Otey of Shiloh; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Shawna Painter of Galion; six grandchildren, Christina Collins, Joshua Collins, Elijah Collins, Kourtney Tallentire, Kara Painter and Kennedy Painter; two brothers and a sister-in-law, George and Naomi Painter and Richard Painter, all of Willard and a sister, Marge Clark of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Painter and a sister, Dolores Watson.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Galion First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Andy Grimes and Pauls personal friend, Bill Inmon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, which will be distributed to charity in Pauls memory.
